Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom I have autistic students who have sensory needs. My autistic learners need specific items to help calm and regulate them. One of these important items are noise cancelling headphones. A simple trip to the cafeteria for lunch on a daily basis can be overstimulating for an autistic child. Headphones can make all the difference in their day.

Sensory and fidget toys can help regulate autistic students and keep them learning!

Fidget toys help when used during the whole class lesson and sensory toys are a huge help when a student needs to go to the calming corner after being overwhelmed.

Autistic students often thrive on schedules and with time constraints. Individual digital and sand timers are a must for the classroom.
