Hello! I am looking to add some great sensory materials to my special education classroom. The purpose of the items chosen are to help students learn using a multi-sensory approach. My students will be able to engage in learning in various ways.
Learning opportunities will occur when spelling words on the light trays, building new objects with the magnetic tiles, and using fidgets (ex: stress balls) to help manage dysregulated emotions.
Providing these avenues will allow students to create new pathways of learning and help them achieve their goals.
A sensory classroom not only promotes academic growth, but will help students build social-emotional skills as well. Special education provides our students a different approach to learning, but one that promotes growth, challenge, and inspiration!
