My Project

Integrating sensory mats and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) supplies into our school's curriculum is essential for fostering a comprehensive and engaging educational environment. Sensory tools provide safe and engaging sensory experiences that help children manage sensory input, promoting self-regulation, improving focus, and increasing participation in classroom activities. We are working with our OT and special service providers to setup a sensory swing that will benefit our student leaders in the school.

Incorporating STEM supplies into the classroom further enriches the learning experience by encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Science provides an in-depth understanding of the world, fostering research and critical thinking. Technology prepares students for environments filled with high-tech innovations. Engineering enhances problem-solving abilities and the application of knowledge in new projects. Mathematics enables the analysis of information, error elimination, and informed decision-making in solution design. Collectively, STEM education links these disciplines into a cohesive system, preparing professionals who can transform society with innovation and sustainable solutions.

By integrating sensory tools and STEM supplies, our school can create an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that caters to diverse learning needs. This approach not only supports students' sensory and cognitive development, but, also prepares them for future challenges by fostering essential skills in a hands-on, engaging manner.

Furthermore, in order to get our Science lab/ STEM room in order, we are asking for carts and storage boxes to help our school organize our science lab into a more accessible workspace. The storage racks will allow us to organize the boxes by experiments/grades and make it student friendly and accessible.
