Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A sensory space is important for all students with special needs or those who struggle with sensory overload. This helps students calm and regulate themselves so they can be prepared for learning and interacting with others. Some students struggle to cope with the world around them. This safe sensory space will help give students a much needed place to go to when they are feeling overwhelmed. The sensory area will be a designated space that will provide my students the intentional space to practice these necessary self-regulation and coping strategies. Thank You!
