My Project
In the reading room, many kids can sometimes feel overwhelmed or frustrated, especially when they struggle to focus or process information. The quiet, intense environment might add to their stress, making it hard for them to stay engaged. When emotions build up, it can be challenging for them to get back on track. This is why having a designated break area with sensory toys is so important.
Sensory toys—like stress balls, fidget spinners, or textured fabrics—help calm anxious or overstimulated children.
These items provide a simple, effective way for kids to release tension, reset their emotions, and refocus when they return to reading. A break area gives them a space to pause, breathe, and regain control, fostering a more positive and productive learning environment.
