My Project

I am requesting items that can be used in our classroom or sensory room to calm down when feeling big emotions. We utilize the pyramid model to teach strategies and provide calm-down resources for children to access when they feel big emotions. Sometimes we need a space to go when our feelings are so strong that we can't think.

Our sensory room is empty; an empty room is not very calming.

I hope to inspire with funding this project and other projects from either myself or other teachers to request more items to build up this space. For this project, I am asking for a portable time timer, sensory tent, sensory sock to climb into, marble mazes, a fold-up sequin board, and a calming projector night light. Let's get this project funded and more students back to calm and back to class!
