This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students show sensory needs. They seem to have trouble handling the information their senses take in and are constantly moving about, fidgeting and rocking in their chair. It is thought that these children are using their movement to help to stay alert and regulate so a wiggle pillow for the chair will help them process information and be successful in my science classroom.
Headphones will help them to block out overwhelming noise and sensory stimuli.
They can also provide a sense of calm and focus. Thank you so much for your donation and support!
