My Project

Our students are excited to come to school to learn but sometimes we need a safe and calming space to reflect on our feelings. A sensory room will help students calm down, self reflect and receive sensory input to help regulate their feelings and emotions.

Students will use the sensory room for social emotional learning during one-on-one and small group instruction.

They will use the sensory toys and flexible seating in calming colors, bean bags and yoga ball seating.

A shared school sensory room will be help students express and understand their emotions and learn to self regulate their behaviors and feelings throughout the school day in a safe and calming environment.
