Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This Amazon wish list comprises sensory items that TK through 6th-grade students will use in the FCLA newly constructed sensory room. The specialized room will be used for students who need a positive, calming environment in moments of stress and frustration.

The sensory room will be used for students to express themselves positively.

This safe and encouraging environment we have created will allow them to find the item(s) that relax them, empower them to express themselves positively, and teach them coping strategies, allowing them to continue their academic day. For example, the play dough, water beads, balancing beads, and sand will be used to step on and teach them to find a relaxing and engaging coping strategy. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated many students' feelings. This sensory room is an enlightened solution to everyday situations. Thank you for your support and contribution(s).
