Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have students that have difficulty self regulating. Often times, those students thrive when working with sensory materials such as kinetic sand or even listening to calming music. We are asking for a variety of sand in various colors as well as sand sensory materials for our students to enjoy, particularly when exhibiting difficulty self-regulating their emotions. These materials will be very helpful in helping to calm them down, soothe their stresses as well as build on their fine motor skills. Additionally, we are asking for containers to create our own sand sensory boxes. Lastly, we are asking for earbuds for when students need to listen to calming music during these activities. We find that it really helps and we can really use these materials to assist with our daily learning.
