My Project

I want the materials to support children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to learn their heritage language and culture, including those with special needs. Many of these children are nonverbal and struggle to communicate with their families during school. They are often taught to speak in English, which may not be the primary language spoken at home. Through this class, we will teach them basic language skills in their home language, helping to break down communication barriers and strengthen their connection with their families. I aim to create a learning environment that accommodates their sensory needs, ensuring that all students can engage meaningfully. Since I support multiple classrooms across different schools, the purchased items will be distributed to those school sites.
