My Project

A Sensory Loving Classroom Project will provide weighted stuffed animals, noise canceling headphones, fidget toys and a textured carpet to create a space in our self contained classroom where students have a place to self regulate their emotions and behaviors in order to increase their focus on academics.

Our bridge K/1 classroom is a community of inquisitive, energetic and curious hands-on learners who are filled with big emotions and have tactual, visual and developmental sensory needs.

In order to make sure my students reach their academic potential, their sensory needs must be meet first. This project will reinforce students to self regulate and stay engaged in learning.
