My Students

As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, I work with students in an ICT (integrated co-teaching) setting who are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking for a way children can extend their education in the classroom.

Education is the key to the future for tomorrow's leaders.

Learning is better when there are more materials to go around. My students come to school ready to learn, but they need the appropriate classroom resources in order to deepen their knowledge. My school has very limited resources due to budget cuts. Materials needed to effectively teach a lesson are scarce, and the requested items will help tremendously.

My Project

The book bundles will be used to update our classroom library. The books are for first grade readers and the students will enjoy the new books on their reading level. The books will be sorted in our library by reading levels.

The social emotional activities will be used during our morning SEL to help increase self-awareness, academic achievement, and positive behaviors both in and out of the classroom.

The birthday fun pencils, hats, and bracelets will be used to give to each child when we celebrate their birthday in the classroom.
