Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a first-year special education teacher for students in PREK with autism and various other disabilities. All children have various needs and I am working hard to support the needs of all students in my classroom.

The materials I requested will help my students both improve their fine motor skills and help them self-regulate through sensory items.

Since it is many of the students' first time in a school setting it is important for them to explore different toys and manipulatives. I have requested the calming pillow to allow students a comfy place in the classroom to take a break when they are feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated. Many of the other items I requested serve a dual purpose of working on the student's motor abilities and helping them regulate like the floor tiles and liquid letters. Your donation will help amazing children have a great school year. Thanks!
