My Project

My classroom consists of a variety of different learners and sensory needs. My preschoolers are in need of different materials to help meet their sensory needs.

Many of my students are sensory seekers, by providing these sensory materials for my students it will help them with their ability to remain calm and to focus and engage in academic tasks.

This project will provide my students with a weighted lap pad, my students love the weighted blankets and try to take them to our large group meetings, so having a weighted lap pad will be more ideal and less distracting than the larger blanket. My students love sand play and having the kinetic sand will support their fascination and help build on their sensory development. The sensory strips will be placed on various tables in my classroom as my students love to touch and feel things. This will help keep them engaged during small group tasks.
