Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is a co-taught classroom that includes 40 diverse students which include at-risk and special education. This is their first school experience and after COVID will need some extra supports to help regulate their emotions to make this a positive first experience.

My Project

My students need help self-regulating in general but especially after a full year of remote learning. The sooner a child learns to self-regulate the more success they will have not only in school but in life. These materials provide students a variety of opportunities to address a diverse sensory diet so that students can find what works for them. Once students are regulated their ability to focus improves and allows them to fully immerse themselves in learning. Our classroom would benefit from any support you are able to provide!
