Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We work with students with multiple special needs. Our population may have difficulties regulating their senses (e.g. touch, sight); They also experience calm and regulation from certain sensory toys. Therefore we put together a list of items that would make gym time more suitable for our special needs students. Our kids LOVE things that are squishy, colorful, and things that are capable of spinning like the tactile squeaky balls and the silly shapes sensory mats. Currently, our gym classes take place within a classroom and we are in need of A LOT of new materials as a majority of our materials have been worn down throughout the years.
