Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is MBFFS. We are located right in the heart of South Beach. We have a huge population of students with disabilities. Students that would benefit from this project range from K-8th grade have varying exceptionalities from an intellectual disability to an emotional behavior disability and/ or a specific learning disability inside and outside the general education classroom. They are wonderful students who will benefit greatly from your support!

My Project

My school has a very high population of students with special needs. Many years ago we created a sensory garden playground for our students. Its a special place where our students get to have fun using their senses through smell, touch, and sounds.

After many years, it is time for our playground to be refurbished with new toys and activities.

Our students will have so much fun playing in the sandbox ship, climbing on the under the sea set and playing music with the xylophones. I can't wait to see all the smiles on their face playing with all the new and exciting toys!
