Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I serve a group of children that are smart, resilient, and talented. They amazing me every day. They overcome challenges inside and outside the classroom, and defy the odds. I learn as much from them as they learn from me, and it is an honor to serve them.

My students don't just need a classroom, they need a sanctuary!

Help me reach the whole child by creating a welcoming environment with warm lighting and an assortment of sensory toys that will help my students feel calm, engaged, and ready to learn!

In our sensory friendly classroom, we will have movement, and sensory "breaks", soft lighting, soft music, and soothing sounds such as rainforest and ocean waves, and a classroom routine that encourages students to self-regulate, and take breaks when needed
