My Students

Even though my students are from a high poverty area, they still come to school every day to get their education. I am trying to provide a fun and caring environment so the students can grow to their highest potential.

These students deserve any opportunity we can give them to make education fun and exciting!

My students are excited to learn and they deserve every opportunity to do so. We come from a Title I school so any extra love and support are greatly appreciated!

My Project

All students learn and succeed differently in classrooms. To allow these students to succeed, we need to be able to provide them with the materials that they specifically need. By having a wide variety of sensory materials in our classroom, it will allow students to be able to take a meaningful break which will then allow them to return to the lesson ready to learn.

I want to provide my students with the materials they need to be successful in first grade!

Having sensory materials in our classroom will help students regulate their emotions and be able to calm down if they are getting to stimulated. When students get overly stimulated, they tend to not be able to focus on the lesson or the assignment they are working on. When this occurs, the student then misses out on valuable instruction. If this is reoccurring for the student, then eventually they will fall behind their peers. Being able to provide sensory breaks with these items for the students will allow them to further their education in a meaningful and successful way.
