This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students in my classroom have all been diagnosed with autism. They are nonverbal or very minimally verbal. My main focus with my students is to improve their cognitive, social and language skills.
The sensory equipment will help my students learn to self regulate and help prevent them from entering crisis mode.
This is a gift I would like help all my students develop while in my classroom. My students have high sensory needs. Therefore, I incorporate sensory toys and equipment into our daily routine. Unfortunately, this becomes expensive which is why I am turning to DonorsChoose. Please help me help my students.
