My Students
My students are from low income families in Akron, Ohio. I teach Pre-K with 18 students in the morning and 18 students in the afternoon. My four and five year olds are full of curiosity. I want to give them new experiences to help them achieve success.
My Project
My students love to explore with different textures and objects. We would use these materials for a sensory tables. Each project, season, or holiday, I can incorporate different materials into the sensory tables. For example, I can put colored rice and insects with tweezers and containers to put them in. This strengthens their fine motor skills. I also like to put alphabet letters into sensory bins too. We would use the sensory tables every day in my classroom. There are a ton of ideas I have for a sensory tables. These tables are perfect to lift and clean after each change of materials.
