This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have a natural curiosity and love exploring new concepts. They thrive on hands-on materials in the classroom. They are nonverbal and need additional assistance when communicating. Despite their challenges, they are making significant strides in their learning journey, particularly in reading CVC words and composing sentences. I am proud of their progress and want to provide them with the necessary tools to succeed.

My goals for this project are to provide my students with the necessary materials for their growth and development in a comfortable and safe environment.

I want to improve their reading and writing skills, develop their communication skills, and help them regulate their emotions in the classroom.

The bean bag chair, sensory toys, and puzzles will provide a safe and comfortable area for my students to take a break and refocus during class. This will help them to regulate their emotions and relieve anxiety, which will ultimately enhance their learning experience.

The laminated visuals, color printer, and laminator are essential for the classroom as they will enable me to print and laminate materials that are needed to conduct my lessons effectively. This will also help my nonverbal students communicate better and understand the lesson more clearly.
