Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students need movement to help regulate their nervous system. Three of my students walk around my class to help them focus. The wall and chairs will give them a break in the classroom instead of having to leave and miss instruction. It would motivate and encourage engagement in attending school with a great experience. Some need movement, while others need sensory sensations. While at the same time, they stay in their seats and kick with the bands. These items will help improve emotional outbursts because we first regulated their bodies and gave them a safe feeling in the classroom. My students are engaged, but others need help feeling balanced. The school day is long. I am trying to help my neurodivergent learning. They need to feel safe before they can attend to the learning objective. Many have to take walks or breaks. With this item,s I could teach science and social studies and coping skills so they can feel balanced. I have 65 students this year, and many have emotional behaviors that can be regulated through sensory output. Please consider helping. Thank you in advance.
