My Project

My students are nonverbal kindergarteners in a self-contained classroom. They are learning to communicate and build their life and learning skills through play, songs, books, sign language, and iPad communication devices. They need materials that will help meet their sensory and learning needs.

My students need sensory center and craft supplies to develop and grow their world and environment.

These resources will be used in centers to meet their sensory needs, develop routines, create collaborative experiences, grow their communication skills, and calm them when they are over-stimulated or getting frustrated.

I am asking for glue sticks, stickers, and dry-erase markers for use in completing centers successfully. In addition, I am looking to meet the sensory needs of my students with a musical center and am requesting instruments to make this possible. I also would like to have dress-up materials for imaginative play and to discuss people they see around town and in their world. Finally, I would like to have hands on engaging sensor materials to use at centers like the letter makers and peg board.
