Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am starting my second year adventure in teaching a self-contained Kindergarten/First grade classroom. I will have 12 students with varied development and emotional needs and I am preparing my classroom to be able to best teach them, through the use of sensory activities.

In my class I have students who prefer listening to a story with headphones, students whos hyperactivity prevent them from focusing, the sensory tubs provide the opportunity for sensory feedback while meeting learning goals.

I have created this page to help purchase the materials needed to provide a full sensory experience such as the alphabet, number and shapes sensory tub, listening center and alphabots and more!

My Project

If have a class of 12 wonderful Kindergarten and first grade students with varied developmental needs and learning styles.

My students would greatly benefit from the availability of sensory-based activities and flexible seating.

Frequent sensory breaks are needed when daily learning becomes overwhelming. The Alpha-bots, stampers, and sensory tubs can help me provide the much needed sensory breaks in the manner they most respond to.

I have purchased other related materials but the cost is too great for me to be able to provide it all.
