My Students

My students are the youngest in the NYC DOE public school system. My 3-Kers are curious, eager, loving people deserving of the highest quality materials and resources in a classroom that feels like a home away from home. They are learning to regulate their feelings and play cooperatively.

My Project

I would like to order materials to enhance our sensory and dramatic play centers, two of my student's favorite centers in the classroom. The dramatic play materials will promote pretend play and cooperative play. Children are learning to solve problems, coordinate, cooperate, and think flexibly.

Sensory tables improve children's sense of touch which helps them perceive their environment accurately.

Exposure to a variety of textures improves children's development of fine motor skills. I plan to get Plastic sand which is an alternative to modeling sand. Composed of tiny non-toxic balls, it gives the possibility to explore the tactile sense. Water can even be added to increase the sensory possibilities!
