My Students

I teach 25 kindergarten kiddos from the Bellevue and downtown Nashville area! I teach at a Title I school, meaning the more then 50% of our students are in the low

socioeconomic status.

My school is a melting pot of students, we house a large percentage of ELL students as well as students with special needs. Our school is so lucky to service so many different students, but it becomes challenging to meet all their needs. I'm hoping these wobble chairs will help my learners be engaged in learning!

My Project

My learners will be able to dig and explore math and literacy! Studies have shown that sensory tables increase student knowledge AND excitement to learning! The learners will be able to match letters to objects with the alphabet tubs! By providing a sensory table to my learners I will tap into another side to my learners, therefore, reaching the majority of my classroom! Hands on learning is a must in kindergarten and the sensory table combined with the alphabet tubs will provide that exploration they need! Using the sensory table will be a cross curricular piece, which will enable my learners to master the standards!
