My Students

My students are full of love and energy. They enjoy Pete the Cat, Elmo, puzzles, Playdoh, and coloring! They love exploring the different ways to play with toys. They are curious and ready to learn! All of my students are between the ages of 5 and 6.

My wonderful class consists of students with disability diagnoses who receive speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.

Due to the pandemic, this is our first time back in our school building since March. We have begun learning 5 days a week in-person! They have been very eager to start and be back in school. We are ready for an exciting and different type of school year!

With their return to school, I am dedicated to making sure their learning experiences are full of joy and fun. This school is in a new location and due to budget cuts, I do not have many classroom items.

My Project

The finger paint and non-spill paint pots and brushes I have requested will support my students' fine motor skills. We will use these resources to paint for fun, as well as practice painting our letters and numbers! All of these resources will benefit my students in helping them take control of their learning.

Get Ready to Learn is a yoga/mindfulness program that has been shown to help students with their behavior.

In order to follow the program with fidelity, yoga mats will be needed for my students to independently grab and place on the ground, use for the exercises, and then return to the correct spot when they are finished.
