My Project

My kindergarten students are a diverse group of learners and supporting their reading journey through multisensory instruction is a way of teaching that engages more than one sense at a time. Tools requested within this project will assist in motivating students to connect with what they are learning through the use of their senses: sight, hearing, movement, and touch. This approach to reading helps ALL children who are learning to read by providing multiple pathways to learning.

Playful tools immerse young learners in multisensory activities that connect letters to their sounds through sight, touch, movement, and sound.

Activities such as "Read the Word, Build the Word, Write the Word" is a multi-modal, and multisensory approach to learning that supports the whole child and is rooted in developmentally appropriate practices.
