My Students

Science can be fun! We want to move from the text books to real life experiences with science materials. Learning about electricity is much more interesting to students when they can see how it works. Reading materials that capture the students interest and provide enrichment are also an asset.

My students are from a title one school in a working class area.

They learn through experience and are eager to explore when given the opportunity. The technology is limited at this school so it is helpful to have hands on materials that allow students to engage in what they are learning.

My Project

Science will be brought to life through the electricity kit. Students will be able to perform their own experiments and see how electricity and magnetism truly work. The science readers will provide enriched reading materials that will offer further exploration into the world of science. The Step-By-Step science process will help teach the students the scientific process which will further their understanding of experiments and the process as a whole. This will help them as they progress into the upper grades with their science knowledge. These are materials that will keep on giving!
