Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My incredible students are getting ready to find their own paths outside the comfort of our school community. All will continue their education in some way - either in a community college, four-year university, trade school, or in the working world. We will be starting a Power of Financial Literacy project soon where we'll learn how to be wise consumers and how to budget for various purposes. Then students will research, build a lesson, and teach each other any piece of financial literacy of their interest/ choice.

After learning from each other, the unit culminates in a vision board project where students will visualize their dreams, hopes, and aspirations for the future.

This will also be a part of their oral self-evaluation graduation portfolio project.

The markers, poster board, and other materials will hopefully inspire them to get creative and reach far. We've been collecting magazines and are ready to collage, but students are welcome to create any type of vision board they choose. I can't wait to share their journeys and final projects with you!
