Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are amazing. They are newly arrived immigrants and refugees from all corners of the world, speaking over 20 languages. The last few years I have been teaching 12th graders. One thing I've noticed is that many of our seniors do not have the confidence to make decisions when it comes to their finances.

This project will help me integrate financial literacy and planning into my humanities class throughout the school year to help students feel more prepared, especially for their lives beyond high school.

You are also helping to start off our year with journals to reflect on this financial lit journey, pens, and a full tea and coffee cart. We are truly grateful for your support.
