This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students diligently work to develop college and career readiness through exploration, continual engagement, and individual pathways. Every day they are faced with different obstacles within their communities, yet they strive to overcome adversaries and work hard to one day achieve a successful career.

A staggering 78% of our students are economically disadvantaged, face homelessness, and are exposed to violence and crime within their communities.

Though their environments are not ideal and the resources within our school are limited, our students work hard to ensure that they achieve continual success.

Their resilience and dedication are outstanding! They show up every day excited, eager, and ready to learn.

My students are seniors. My goal is to ensure that their senior year experiences are as smooth, positive, organized, and fluid as possible.

My Project

The materials listed will help every single student, every single day. I am a first-year teacher with no resources to give these students. You will be helping them by allowing them to have the daily necessities like pens, paper, highlighters, pencil sharpeners, post-its. This school year is crucial for these students. They are in their final year of middle school and they will begin applying for high schools and begin looking at colleges. Every student can achieve and learn. Every student deserves to not have to worry about the bare necessities not being met. You are helping us build a solid foundation for what will be an amazing school year.
