Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Ninety percent of our amazing students live below or near the poverty line. About 60% of our students are learning English in school. Sometimes our school struggles to get the resources we need to teach and care for our incredible students. This makes the job of a school even more important.

Many students we teach experience poverty, but that's just where they are starting.

Our students love to create art and read. They write computer code and even perform Shakespeare. They have big dreams, and let's help them reach for those dreams!

My Project

Even though the last couple of school years have been crazy, my students LOVE school. I have noticed how excited kids get about creating art. Every time I say that we will do some art in class, they actually cheer.

Kids are eager to be CREATIVE, but, some of my students don't have art supplies: Let's fix that!

With your help, our lessons will be filled with art and creativity. You'll be sending kids markers, crayons, pencils, and more! Plus, two real artist's stools! Kids will use these art supplies to make posters, write books, and make decorations to cheer up our space. Thanks to you, students will be complete art projects and explore their curiosities!
