My Project

Calm down corners are essential in elementary schools as they provide a dedicated and safe space for children to regulate their emotions and manage stress effectively. In the dynamic environment of a classroom, young students often encounter various challenges that can lead to heightened emotions, such as frustration, anxiety, or overstimulation.

These designated areas serve as retreats where children can take a break from the demands of the classroom, allowing them to reset and refocus.

The calming corners typically feature comfortable seating, soft lighting, and sensory tools, creating an environment conducive to relaxation. This intentional design encourages self-reflection and helps children develop emotional self-regulation skills.
