This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hi! I am hoping to get my project fully funded to help my kids focus a little more during instruction and to learn different ways to self-regulate

I plan to use each of the items in my cart to help them stay focused during whole group instruction, inclusion time, transitions (to prevent eloping), when feeling overstimulated and so much more!

The wobble stools in my cart are very effective (even for adults); these stools support student movement, which is know to be essential for cognitive development. They're often used for occupational therapy. The therapy putty is very effective for various reasons, too! The one I chose even changes colors, how cool right? This pretty putty can help improve fine motor skills, improve grip and strengthen muscles! The sensory bubble tubes are both attention grabbing and calming/soothing for our kiddos! These are mainly to encourage visual development and communication skills. Chewy necklaces AKA sensory necklaces are to help reduce stress and/or anxiety, which are often suitable for those with oral sensory needs to promote calm, soothe and focused. These come in many different shapes, sizes, colors and textures!

What makes my students special is the fact that they're all different in so many ways, it's a lovely thing to witness. Each of them have their own personality which makes it even more exciting. Witnessing how they interact with each other is a beautiful thing to see. They learn so much from each other and teach each other so much more! My little friends are so amazingly creative, very loving, loyal; they pay very close attention to detail and their creativity is to live for OMG!
