Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our small K-8 school in the Bronx, is a loving environment full of caring, energetic, and curious students of all ages and backgrounds!

Our 6th grade class is made up of amazingly creative students who enjoy Art Class and have been working on the most beautiful self-portraits to show everyone who they are and what they love!

Because we are such a small school, we do not have a full-time art teacher, and rather limited art supplies. Nonetheless, our students are quickly becoming masters of mixed-media, using all supplies at their disposal to create their art! We would love to be able to display their work to show as if in an art gallery -- in gorgeous black mats that make their artwork POP!
