Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The idea for the guitar club at our small school came from two self-motivated students. They asked a simple question: can you teach us to play guitar? Luckily for these two students, they have guitars at home, but not access to the tools to learn. However, in our small high school with no music program, word caught on quickly that two students were learning guitar.

With these three guitars, three students' interest and curiosity will not be stifled; instead, their curiosity can be nurtured.

These guitars will be available to students every day, during free periods, and, of course, during regular weekly after school meetings.

Now several students can attend after school meetings who do not have financial access to guitars and we can take turns sharing these three guitars. The students are grateful for the opportunity to learn something, but students learn best with regular practice and regular community.

Your donation to this project can make a difference in these student's lives by giving them a talent and fulfillment for the rest of their lives.
