My Project
I absolutely love the perseverance and determination my students demonstrate every day, despite the struggles they face. Many of my students come from backgrounds where resources are limited, and they often have to overcome significant challenges just to keep up in the classroom. What makes them truly special, though, is their unyielding curiosity and their willingness to learn, even when the odds seem stacked against them. They may struggle, but they never give up. They are resilient, and they constantly remind me that learning isn’t just about the destination—it’s about the journey, the growth, and the support they receive along the way.
Many of my students struggle with focus and self-regulation, which can hinder their ability to engage fully in learning activities.
Providing fidget tools, like stress balls or fidget spinners, will help these students stay focused and calm during lessons. These small items help reduce anxiety and restlessness, which can make a significant difference in a child’s ability to concentrate and participate. By offering these tools, journals, puzzles, and snacks, I can create a space where all students feel comfortable, supported, and capable of staying focused on the task at hand. And also providing them a space to decompress.
