Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The large pocket charts will display the current units and vocabulary for the students to refer to throughout our lessons. The paper, hanging files, markers, and other supplies of the sort will be used by the students, so that they may create books, publish writing projects, and easily access writing tools. The paper storage organizer will be placed on the shelves in the back of our classroom and will help the writing center run smoothly from day to day.

By donating to our project, you will ultimately help to increase my students' academic achievement.

The donations to this project will help to improve their understanding and competency of authentic, meaningful writing.

Our students will have options to select from a number of projects to write about throughout the year. They will be able to use our writing center to explore our collective experiences, hopes, and dreams.

My hope is that this year will be an unforgettable learning experience for myself and my students. With reading, art, research, and holding space for them to freely express themselves through writing, we’re going to fall in love with our shared journey.
