Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Creation of helpful health habits is the theme in our fitness classroom. I want to help my students obtain wellness by focusing on self-care through strength. This strength can be obtained through silence or movement.

The students at our large inner city high school are typical teenagers who are used to being tied to technology.

I want to provide a self-care corner in our fitness room which will provide a technology-free space to focus on strength through mindful movement or mindful silence as chosen by the student.

The strength training equipment, comfortable chairs, and mindful supplies will provide the necessary tools to create this inviting space.
