Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a high school therapist, I see firsthand how stressful and overwhelming the teenage years can be. Students are juggling academics, extracurriculars, social pressures, and more — and sometimes, their mental health needs can be overlooked. That's why I’m asking for your help to provide self-care kits to support their emotional well-being and teach them how to manage stress in healthy ways.

My goal is to give each student in our school a self-care kit that can be used for coping and relaxation.

These kits will include items like journals, stress-relief tools, calming teas, snacks, motivational affirmations, and hygiene products — all carefully chosen to help students practice self-care, reflect, and de-stress during difficult times.

Your generous donation will allow me to provide these kits for students, especially those who may not have access to these types of resources at home. I believe that by supporting students in taking care of their mental health, we are not only helping them perform better academically, but also building a foundation for their overall well-being and future success.

These kits will be distributed during our "self-care week" in May. With your help, we can give students the tools they need to prioritize themselves, learn healthy coping strategies, and create a culture of kindness and mental well-being.
