Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a Primary Montessori teacher who teaches 3, 4, 5 and 6 year old's during the PK3, PK4 and Kindergarten year. My school is unique as it is a public Montessori school and all children are local and accepted through a lottery system. We are a diverse classroom with students from all over town with various needs. Through this project students will learn the skills needed to care for themselves. We do not have a sink or running water in out classroom. This sink will allow for students to clean their faces, wash their hands, learn the skill of washing dishes and even washing off our eggs from our school chickens that we take care of. The lessons that students will learn from this project will allow for students to gain independence and feel proud of what they are doing.
