This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With your donations, I will be able to use the Kimochis curriculum to help create an environment where students feel valued, can effectively communicate their feelings, and build confidence and self-esteem! Students will be able to come together to create strong relationships in the classroom.
When students are faced with challenges.
Kimochis teaches the students how to face the challenges using their core values. The Kimochis picture books provide obstacles that the students can relate to. They learn how the Kimochis' characters work through the problems and learn from it. This curriculum is an engaging and playful way for students to learn how to truly communicate with respect and kindness. It is so vital that students have these social-emotional learning skills to create a positive learning environment. The stools will help bring my small groups together in a fun and special way.
