My Project

Help me give my students a cozy corner with sensory toys and materials to help them regulate their emotions. This year, I have several students with special needs and some of my students are struggling with expressing their feelings, socializing appropriately with peers, and problem solving. It is my goal to work more with social emotional learning this year to better prepare them for a more successful kindergarten experience.

SEL is very important to help students comprehend their emotions and exhibit empathy toward others.

These experiences are going to help students develop responsible decision making skills, as well as, build positive relationships with themselves and with others.

I will use the materials to make my cozy corner more inviting and enriched. Students will use the sensory toys to calm down when they are experiencing big emotions and use the solution cubes to help them come up with ways to solve the problems.
