Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are bright, energetic, and eager to learn, but like many young people today, they face that can impact their emotional well-being and social skills. To help them thrive, we are seeking to implement Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Toolkits in our classroom. These toolkits will provide necessary resources to support students in developing self-awareness, empathy, and effective communication skills—key components for success inside and outside the classroom.

Notebooks, pens, folders, and pencils will be used to engage in SEL journals, activities, check-ins, and work toward curriculum-based learning.

SEL is a time for students to engage and connect with their emotions. Gatorades and Capri Suns will be used for energy during SEL. I typically like to provide snacks and drinks to promote better learning.

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.

Equity Focus

At this school, more than 50% of students are Black, Latino, and/or Native American, and more than 50% come from low-income households. Learn how your donation to this school supports a more equitable education.
