My project will help my amazing students to learn, grow and achieve their goals in occupational therapy. All students are special, but I believe the kiddos I work with can use a little extra love and support as I work with the autism support classrooms. These kids have some unique learning differences and needs. By helping with my project, you will ensure they have the sensory tools and other supplies needed to help them reach their full potential in the classroom! The peapod sensory chair will allow students to take a break to obtain sensory input they need to help regulate their body. The wobble stool will provide movement needed to improve focus when they are working on tasks. Sensory bins will be fun and exciting for them and enhance their participation. If they need time to calm before beginning another task they can retreat to the calming sensory tent. The fine motor games and other activities will keep them engaged while work on improving the skills they need for handwriting and other classroom tasks. Adapted scissors and smaller pencils will work on developing and progressing their emerging skills.
