My Project

My second-grade students enjoy seeing how many ways they can solve a math problem. From making a drawing of a playground to figuring out perimeter to using number bonds and bar models to represent a word problem, they sure do love a challenge!

Place value discs, base-ten mats, a big dry-erase Number of the Day poster, and large dry-erase regrouping charts for addition and subtraction - these hands-on activities will allow my students to stretch their math minds.

They can even use them to teach their classmates. If you can teach it, you know you've mastered it!
