Help Ms. Baker

I teach high school chemistry for both college prep and honors students in a small coastal community. Our student population is rapidly increasing due to growth in the area.

Most of the Juniors and Seniors I teach are planning to go to college. They need a strong science background in order to be competitive in scholarship and college applications. Students need visual models to make more sense of the complex molecular structures learned in chemistry. Due to our rapid growth, it is financially difficult to keep up with the supplies needed for the number of students we have.

Students benefit greatly from the hands-on learning that these molecular models offer. Hands-on learning gets even the reluctant learner actively involved in the educational process. Because so many students are visual learners, these model kits will fill an essential need in chemistry class.

Your donation to this proposal will help my students master a difficult concept in chemistry. Due to recent cuts in our state budget for education spending, it has become more and more difficult to provide supplies needed for the best educational experiences for our students. Please help my students reap the benefits of having vital supplies in chemistry class.
